毘佛略

(sa) vaipulya, large, spacious, intp. [lang id =1028]方廣 q. v., expanded, enlarged. The term is applied to sūtras of an expanded nature, especially expansion of the doctrine; in Hīnayāna the Āgamas, in Mahāyāna the sutras of Huayan and Lotus type; they are found in the tenth of the [lang id =1028]十二部經 twelve sections of the classics. Other forms are [lang id =1028]鞞佛略 or [lang id =1028]裴佛略; [lang id =1028]毘富羅.
